What are hydrating fillers, and what are they used for?
Skin hydrating fillers are a type of very soft dermal filler, which acts primarily to bind water and hydrate your skin, without providing excessive volume. This type of filler is excellent for fine lines around the mouth, and the back of hands.
What is involved?
Hydrating fillers are injected into the skin by a Doctor or Registered Nurse with a fine needle. Hydrating filler injections are a quick procedure, taking around 30 to 45 minutes with a topical numbing agent applied to the area prior to injecting.
How long do they last?
Because of the nature of Hydrating fillers, they may not last as long as the ‘thicker’ types. And depending on our end goal, 2-3 treatments spaced 1 month apart may be recommended. After this, we expect to see results for approximately 6+ months.
