Why lip fillers?
When we engage with others, we focus on the other person’s eyes and mouth. So it’s no surprise that lip fillers are as popular as they are.
There has been a growing demand for lip filler treatments for years. And whilst it seems everyone is performing these, it is also one of the most difficult areas to get correct.
You may be looking to add volume, create more balance between top and bottom lip, obtain a more hydrated look (fewer lip lines), or restore shape to an elderly lip. Whatever your reason, a in depth consult and treatment plan is done to ensure you’re comfortable, and ready to go ahead.
What is involved?
There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach with lips. Treatments are individually tailored through product choice, injection technique (needle or cannula), and anaesthetic required (topical or dental block).
With numbing, total treatment time is generally around 45 minutes. Even with numbing there will be some mild discomfort.
How long do they last?
Because of the mobile nature of the mouth, lip filler tends not to last as long as filler in other areas. First time clients should see results for at least 4-6 months. Often clients will return 4 weeks after their first treatment to have further lip filler, and this can lead to a noticeable result for longer than that timeframe.
